Equipment

  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Big Pirex
  • 2 Kitchen towels
  • 1 Plastic Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 1 big Carrot
  • 1 Green apple
  • 500 gr Chicken mince meat
  • 4 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Sea Salt
  • 16 Rice Papers
  • Boiled Water

Instructions

  • In a frying pan, add 2 Tbsp of olive oil and let it come to a boil. Then add the minced chicken and sauté until it gets a nice golden color.
  • Meanwhile, chop the apple into small cubes and grate the carrot into small strips. Add them to the pan with the minced meat and continue sautéing.

Preparing the Rice Papers

  • Pour the boiled water into a pyrex dish. The water should be just above the bottom of the pyrex.
  • We spread 2 kitchen towels.
  • We dip one rice paper in the pyrex with the boiled water, leave it there for a few minutes until the paper softens and then spread it on the towels.
NOTE: The rice paper should not be completely softened, as it will become a whole mass and as a result, it cannot be filled and wrapped properly.

Filling the Dumplings

  • Transfer one of the rice papers to a plastic cutting board. With a small spoon, take a little filling, carefully place it in the middle of the paper and close it, creating a rectangular shape.
  • Follow the same process with the rest.

Frying the Dumplings

  • In a frying pan, pour 2 Tbsp olive oil and leave it on low heat until it comes to a good boil. Then place the dumplings and turn them every now and then so that they are crispy on all sides.
